  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 large apples, peeled and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Combine brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and water in a medium saucepan. Stir in the peeled and chopped apples.
  2. Heat over medium heat until boiling, then reduce to low and simmer for about 10 minutes until apples are tender.
  3. Take out 1/2 cup of cooking liquid and mix with cornstarch in a small bowl until smooth. Reintroduce this mixture to the saucepan.
  4. Stir constantly on low heat until thickened to your liking.
  5. Serve warm with cinnamon sugar chips or use as desired.
