  • 5 Tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 Tablespoon cake flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Cream together unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix well.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until combined.
  3. Chill the dough for one hour in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cake flour until smooth.
  5. Scoop chilled dough into balls, create a well in each ball, fill with cinnamon mixture, and seal tightly.
  6. Bake on parchment-lined sheets for 11–13 minutes until edges are golden.
