  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tbsp apple vinegar (or rice vinegar)
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce (or regular soy sauce)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 white onion (thinly sliced)
  • 45 slices ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 stalk green onion (cut into 2-inch pieces)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Slice the onion, mince the garlic, slice the ginger, and cut green onions.
  2. Marinate the beef: Thinly slice the beef against the grain, mix marinade ingredients, add beef, and marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Mix the sauce: Combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl until smooth.
  4. Cook the beef: Heat oil in a wok over high heat and sear marinated beef for 2-4 minutes.
  5. Sauté vegetables: In the same wok, sauté ginger until fragrant then add garlic and onions until softened.
  6. Combine everything: Add sauce to vegetables, cook until thickened, then return beef and green onions to combine.
