Ingredients

Scale
  • 400 g flour
  • 7 g instant yeast
  • 15 g granulated sugar
  • 7 g salt
  • 35 ml sunflower oil
  • 225 ml water
  • 40 g butter (for filling)
  • 1 egg (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, salt, sunflower oil, and water. Mix until blended and knead for 10-12 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  3. Divide the dough into two pieces and roll each into a circle (30 cm diameter) on a floured surface.
  4. Spread softened butter over one circle and place the second on top.
  5. Cut the layered dough into 12 triangles.
  6. Roll each triangle from the wide end towards the tip to form croissants.
  7. Place on a lined baking tray, brush with beaten egg, and let rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
