  • 0.33 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.330.5 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash) – optional
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar (for optional glaze)
  • 12 tbsp milk (for optional glaze)
  • 0.25 tsp vanilla extract (for optional glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until slightly larger.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly over the rolled-out pastry.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the filling.
  6. Tightly roll the pastry into a log shape from one end.
  7. Slice the log into 8 equal pieces and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush tops with beaten egg for color (optional).
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
