  • 500 g thick Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp flaky salt
  • 1 garlic clove (finely grated)
  • 1/2 lemon (juiced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional toppings: toasted pine nuts, chopped parsley, extra virgin olive oil, sumac

Instructions

  1. Prepare the yogurt: Line a fine mesh sieve with cheesecloth and set over a bowl. Pour in the yogurt and sprinkle with salt. Gently press to drain excess liquid for about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Mix in flavorings: Transfer the thickened yogurt to a bowl. Stir in grated garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil until well combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  3. Serve: Spread the labneh on a serving plate and top with toasted pine nuts, herbs, and extra olive oil. Optionally sprinkle sumac for added flavor.
