  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 1/3 cups oil
  • 8 cups flour (plus extra for rolling)
  • 2 cups feta cheese (crumbled)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 3 egg yolks (for brushing)
  • Sesame seeds (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a mug, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar; cover and let foam for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the oil. Add the foamy yeast mixture along with remaining milk and salt.
  3. Gradually add flour until a dough forms; knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 30 minutes).
  5. Divide the dough into five pieces; roll each piece into a thin circle.
  6. Cut circles into triangles, fill with crumbled feta cheese, and roll up from the wide end.
  7. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper; let rise again for about 20–30 minutes.
  8. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds before baking at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown.
