  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 10 slices turkey bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat an 8 x 8-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar and softened butter until creamy. Add peanut butter, egg, and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Gradually incorporate the flour, baking soda, and salt into the mixture until fully combined.
  4. Fold in 1/2 cup of crumbled turkey bacon and 1/3 cup of chopped peanuts. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top; return to oven for one more minute to melt the chocolate. Spread melted chocolate evenly and top with remaining turkey bacon bits and chopped peanuts.
  7. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
